Why we're building this
Every shooting day ends the same way: post wants a sound report, and the mixer pays for it in hours, subscriptions, or hardware lock-in.
Handwritten clipboard notes all day, then 1–2 hours after wrap re-typing scene, take, and timecode into Excel — even though all of it already exists in the BWF headers of your WAV files.
The fixWaveLog parses iXML and bext straight from your WAV files: scene, take, roll, TC in/out, sample rate, bit depth, track names. You just flag and export.
The incumbent slate app is excellent at slating — and charges a monthly subscription on top of a $29.99 app to unlock sound reports, wrapped in camera-assistant features a mixer never touches.
